Manager, Reliability Compliance

Jupiter seeks to grow its team with the recruitment of a Manager, Reliability Compliance .
As a Manager, Reliability Compliance , you will support Jupiter Powers compliance program for the entire operating fleet, with an emphasis on regulatory requirements (NERC & ERCOT) associated with real time operations
and cyber security.
Key Responsibilities
~ Support a growing operating fleet with emphasis on electricity regulatory requirements.
~ Develop and maintain processes, procedures, training materials, and internal controls to ensure compliance obligations are sufficiently maintained and monitored.
~ Maintain evidence and documentation for applicable project compliance requirements.
~ Support internal groups (O&M, Engineering, Asset Management, Remote Operations Center, and Market Operations) in understanding compliance obligations and associated deliverables by developing and implementing tools and training.
~ Support internal groups to ensure timely provision of compliance deliverables (e.g., RFIs, reports, filings, and records).
~ Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements.
~ Lead research, planning, preparation, and onboarding of new project compliance readiness efforts.
~ Actively participate in real time operational compliance monitoring activities.
~ Conduct ad hoc independent research on industry trends and rules.

Requirements
~ Relevant degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the energy industry, or equivalent experience.
~ Working experience with NERC Reliability Standards, ERCOT Protocols, or operations role providing exposure to compliance requirements.
~ Working knowledge of organized wholesale electricity markets (e.g., ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, SPP, etc.).
~ Working knowledge of electric power systems.
~ Experience with energy storage projects preferred.
~ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
~ Advanced research and writing skills.
~ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
~ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
~ Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 15% of the time.
~ High comfort level with fast-moving organizations, with the curiosity and enthusiasm to innovate and formulate new ideas and to bring the best out of co-workers.
This role will be based out of our Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or Chicago, IL offices and is subject to our return-to-office policy, which currently requires employees to work out of the office a minimum of three days per week.
Compensation & Benefits
$130,000 -$160,000
This pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Jupiter Power considers a number of factors when determining starting compensation such as the position requirements and the candidate's qualifications.
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus and equity programs. Jupiter Power offers a variety of other benefits including paid time off, 401k with limited matching, health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance, disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
