Program Protection Security Analyst

Technology Security Associates (TSA) is seeking a Program Protection Security Analyst (Journeyman level) to support our government customer at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This is a fully onsite position where punctuality, reliability, and dependability are essential to success.

The selected candidate will provide direct, customer-facing support across personnel security, physical security, and information security functions. This role requires not only technical expertise, but also a strong focus on professionalism, responsiveness, and customer service in every interaction. The analyst will play a key role in ensuring the protection of classified information in strict compliance with the NISPOM, DoDM 5200.01 Vol. 1-3, DoDI 5200.02, DoDI 5200.48, and other applicable Executive Orders and DoD regulations. Success in this position relies on the ability to communicate clearly, build trust with customers, and support all levels of management and government personnel with courtesy and efficiency.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Lead the scheduling, coordination, and setup of secure and non-secure conference rooms for meetings, ensuring proper security protocols are followed and all required equipment is in place.
• Oversee and perform clerical and administrative functions in support of security operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely task completion by team members.
• Manage clearance verifications and visit requests using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), serving as the point of contact for personnel security matters.
• Supervise the issuance and tracking of visitor and building access badges, maintaining strict access control and ensuring adherence to security policies.
• Direct and monitor access control for secure areas, including the opening/closing of labs and securing of conference rooms in alignment with facility security procedures.
• Oversee the receipt, logging, and processing of classified packages in accordance with DoD regulations, ensuring proper chain-of-custody and documentation.

Qualifications Required:

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a professional setting
• Working knowledge of the DD Form 254 (Contract Security Classification Specification)
• Experience using DISS for clearance verification and visit requests
• Experience with BASIC II
• Familiarity with SAAR forms
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
• Reliable transportation to NAS Patuxent River, MD

Qualifications Desired:

• An Active Top-Secret clearance
• Prior experience supporting NAVAIR/DOD
• Familiarity with classified meeting support, including secure VTC systems
• Knowledge of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling requirements
• Completion of relevant STEPP/DCSA training courses, such as: (Visitor Control in the NISP, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254), Program Protection Planning Awareness)
• Experience preparing or reviewing Security Classification Guides (SCGs)
• Prior experience in contractor security officer (FSO/AFSO) or equivalent roles

TSA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employees. The salary range for this position is $85,000- $95,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
