Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Wilmington,DE
Type: Contract - Onsite
Experience: 7+ years

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance mainframe applications in alignment with business requirements.
• Perform detailed impact analysis for enhancements and changes, documenting:
  • Findings
  • Technical and functional recommendations
  • Implementation and action plans
• Modify existing COBOL programs to incorporate new business logic and regulatory changes.
• Develop new COBOL programs for data validation, processing, and transformation.
• Design and create DB2 database objects , including:
  • New tables
  • Programs to validate and retrieve data from existing DB2 tables
• Design and create VSAM files to store and manage data as part of application requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability across DB2 and VSAM data stores.
• Use CHANGEMAN for version control, code promotion, and release management.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment , participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support testing, deployment, and post-production activities as needed.
