We are seeking to hire a Housing Navigator !

The Housing Navigator will help individuals and families experiencing homelessness find and keep stable housing. In this role, you will work directly with landlords to secure housing placements and coordinate with clients to provide the support and resources they need to achieve long-term housing stability

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage landlords and property managers willing to participate in the RRH program.
• Assist participants with housing searches, applications, viewings, and lease negotiations.
• Provide participants with education on tenant rights, responsibilities, and lease compliance.
• Support participants with move-in logistics, including coordination of utilities, and furnishings as applicable.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners, housing providers.
• Track and report housing placements, progress, and outcomes in compliance with program standards and funding requirements.
• Collaborate with case managers to ensure participants receive wraparound support and other stabilization needs.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in housing navigation, case management, or related work with vulnerable populations.
• Knowledge of housing systems, landlord/tenant law, and community resources.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) or electronic case recordkeeping required.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care practices.

 

Work Environment

• This role requires local travel for landlord engagement, property visits, and participant
• support. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet participant and program needs.
