Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping to join our team at Greentree Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waterford, Connecticut. As a key member of our management team, the Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facility, as well as ensuring that our housekeeping standards are met. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
• Manage and supervise a team of maintenance and housekeeping staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintenance and housekeeping operations
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential issues
• Collaborate with other members of the management team to ensure that the facility is running smoothly and efficiently
• Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and housekeeping supplies and services
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for maintenance and housekeeping operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance and housekeeping, with supervisory experience preferred
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
