RN Fellowship in Child Protection

The RN Fellowship is an immersive program designed to support experienced registered nurses interested in transitioning into practice within Child Protection.

Responsibilities of the RN Fellow:

1. Participate in didactic lessons, simulations, and practice-based learning as part of a multidisciplinary team.
2. Address the epidemiology, signs and symptoms, risk factors, evaluation, and interventions related to child abuse, neglect, and maltreatment in both hospital and outpatient settings.
3. Interact with patients, families, and peers across various settings, including the outpatient Foster Care Clinic, Crisis Response Clinic, Primary Care, Emergency Department, and inpatient units.
4. Engage in daily team rounds, weekly Clinical Operations Meetings, and educational trainings hosted by the Child Protection Program.
5. Present a scholarly work related to their fellowship experience upon completion.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of RN experience.
• Pediatric RN experience is preferred.
• This full-time fellowship lasts for one year from the start date.
