Position: Private Banking Associate

Department: Emigrant Bank Fine Art Finance

Office Location: New York, NY - Hybrid

Job Summary:

Emigrant Bank Fine Art Finance brings together experts in art and banking to originate loans secured by fine art, collectibles, wine, classic cars, rare stringed instruments, jewelry, and a broad range of valuable specialty assets. We currently seek a private banking associate with strong credit skills and experience analyzing private banking clients holding private assets such as: private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, start- ups, private companies and other non-publicly traded investments.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing loan originations (background research, credit and financial statement analysis, underwriting, communication with clients and documentation preparation and review, maintaining credit files, as well as taking a deal from the term sheet through closing and funding with minimal direction)
• Underwriting of complex ownership structures involving on and off shore locations worldwide

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required and at least 3 years of private banking credit analysis
• Formal bank credit training program
• Attention to detail required at all stages of the job
