Outside Operator – 3-6 Month Contract

Odessa, TX - Onsite

Per diem offered to those that qualify

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45/hr.

Your Day-to-Day

An Outside Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment and processes outside of a control room or facility. They may also be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting issues, performing minor maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Here's a more detailed breakdown of common responsibilities:

• Operation and Monitoring:

Monitoring and operating equipment, systems, and processes located outside of the control room, including machinery, utilities, and other plant equipment.

• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving operational issues, often requiring knowledge of processes and equipment.

• Safety and Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.

• Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance tasks on equipment, supporting corrective maintenance, and documenting maintenance activities.

• Documentation and Communication:

Recording operating parameters, providing updates on equipment status, and communicating effectively with other team members.

• Support and Assistance:

Providing assistance to other departments and personnel, including maintenance teams, and supporting operations as needed.

• Material Handling:

Managing the reception, storage, and movement of materials, including wood, chemicals, or other materials.

• Housekeeping:

Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the outside area, including grounds and structures.

Who You Are

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• Knowledge of process, laboratory, and mechanical operations.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and potentially with exposure to loud noise.
• Physical ability to perform duties, which may include climbing, working at heights, and operating equipment.
