Overview:

As a Package Handler, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the efficient handling, processing, and delivery of packages within our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that packages are received, sorted, and residents are notified on time, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Processing Packages:

• Receive incoming packages, verifying contents against shipping manifests or delivery notes.
• Sort packages based on delivery addresses, recipient names, or other relevant criteria
• Ensure accurate recording of package details in the inventory management system using Yardi Concierge.
• Assisting Management in implementing the new Yardi Concierge software to track incoming and outgoing packages.

2. Storage and Organization:

• Properly store packages in designated storage areas to facilitate easy retrieval and delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized package storage area, adhering to safety and security protocols.

3. Package Tracking and Documentation:

• Utilize Yardi Concierge tracking systems to monitor the movement of packages throughout the delivery and pick-up process.
• Generate and maintain accurate records of package receipts, deliveries, and storage activities.

4. Customer Service:

• Assist Residents with package inquiries, tracking, and delivery status updates.
• Address any issues or concerns related to package handling, delivery delays, or damages promptly and professionally.

5. Inventory Management:

• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure all residents have picked up their packages in a timely manner.
• Monitor and reorder packaging supplies as needed to support operational needs.

6. Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to package handling and transportation.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in package handling, logistics, warehouse operations, or a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, tracking software, and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 80 pounds.
