The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is searching for a part-time Backside Security Guard to join our team at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York. As Backside Security team members, you will work under the Security Manager, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, by the New York Gaming Commission and applicable operational standards. Pay

$15.50 - $18.20 / hour

What will you do?

• Enforce the rules and regulations of the local gaming commission
• Adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
• Report any incidents, following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures, and report any procedural violations and illegal activity
• Fill out departmental log forms, verifying all paperwork is complete and turned in after shifts
• Process guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations, and communicate with guests sensitively and with care

More about you

• No high school diploma or GED required
• Able to be licensed by the state gaming commission
• Highly motivated and takes initiative
• Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, lifting, reaching, and pushing, with strong manual dexterity and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. You may also occasionally be required to sit for periods
• Visual awareness, sufficient to identify potential security violations
• Hearing ability sufficient to respond to the spoken voice, audible alarms, and two-way radios
• Exposure to all weather conditions
