Mid-Level Real Estate Development Associate Attorney (NY)
Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Development Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join a Band 1-ranked Real Estate practice at a prestigious Am Law firm in New York .
This is a high-impact opportunity for associates who want meaningful deal responsibility, client-facing visibility, and the ability to work directly on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
Key Areas of Experience:
Candidates should have hands-on involvement in:
Real estate acquisitions and dispositions
Joint venture structuring and negotiation
Borrower-side finance transactions
Commercial development deals
You will take a leading role in drafting and negotiating core transactional agreements, including joint venture agreements and loan documents .
Qualifications:
3–5 years of real estate transactional or development experience at a law firm
Strong drafting and negotiation skills with main-document responsibility
Excellent academic credentials
Admission to the New York Bar required
Compensation:
$260,000 – $365,000 annual base salary , depending on experience, plus market-aligned bonuses
