Location: Leominster, MA (On-site)

Our client, a reputable and innovative machinery manufacturing company based in Leominster, MA, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for an entry-level engineer with hands-on experience who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about precision engineering and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for large-scale machinery using 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor .
  • Prepare and interpret technical drawings , blueprints, and specifications with a strong focus on accuracy and tight tolerances .
  • Apply principles of geometry, GD&T , and mathematics to ensure high-quality and manufacturable designs.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) , assembly guides, and other technical documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to align designs with project requirements and production capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues through hands-on problem-solving and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical design or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks , Autodesk Inventor , or AutoCAD .
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles , GD&T , and blueprint reading .
  • Familiarity with machinery , fabrication processes , and manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with CNC programming is a strong plus.
