As the Manager, Broadcast Creative in EA’s Esports division, you will lead the development and execution of live content strategies across EA’s esports programs like Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) and any new programs that may be developed. You will collaborate with internal and external partners including broadcast agencies, social media teams, marketing, product, and league operations to deliver engaging live broadcasts and digital experiences. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless, high‑quality productions that resonate with esports audiences and help grow EA’s esports brand. The ideal candidate will bring both creative vision and operational expertise, with a deep understanding of how esports fans consume content and the trends shaping live broadcast. Strategy & Planning Develop and lead the strategy, planning, and execution of EA Esports live broadcasts, including the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) and future esports programs. Oversee pre‑production activities such as concept development, briefing, scripting, and scheduling to ensure alignment with brand and business goals. Shape editorial direction by determining coverage angles, identifying new content opportunities, and driving innovation in broadcast storytelling. Production Management Lead external broadcast and content vendors across the ALGS ecosystem (and any ecosystems that support future esports programs) to ensure production quality and consistency. Partner with internal stakeholders including Product Ops, League Ops, Product Strategy, Talent, Partnerships, PR and Brand Marketing to deliver on shared objectives, broadcast needs & deliverables. Manage post‑production processes, including final asset delivery, post‑mortems, and continuous quality improvements. Live Show Execution & Audience Growth Make real‑time decisions during live broadcasts to shape the on‑air product and viewer experience. Curate programming that reflects brand messaging, engages fans & achieves business objectives. Stay ahead of media and entertainment trends to fuel new broadcast and content development. Technical & Creative Leadership Partner with Technical Operations to oversee broadcast workflows, software, and infrastructure. Support partner content development to ensure co‑created projects deliver against brand narratives and business goals. Stakeholder Management & Reporting Maintain documentation, updates, and presentations to keep leadership and stakeholders informed. Establish KPIs, measurement techniques, and reporting documents for internal and external use. Analyze show metrics & audience feedback to continuously evolve broadcast strategies & execution. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5‑7 years (min) of experience in broadcast production within esports/gaming/entertainment industries. Strong understanding of content production budget elements and ability to manage simultaneous projects. Proven success in developing and executing large‑scale live productions. Strong understanding of the esports ecosystem, gaming culture, and digital trends. Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to partner with cross‑functional teams. Strong analytical skills and experience with performance measurement tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with esports teams, leagues, and tournament organizers. Established relationships with key influencers, creators, and industry stakeholders. Expert in live production and how to apply to gaming and entertainment properties. A balance of business acumen and creativity to drive the right insight‑inspired product decisions. Strong collaboration skills across multiple disciplines across marketing, commercial, technology and game development. Compensation And Benefits: The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) **$101,700 – $151,900 USD** In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full‑time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
