WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an assignment at Prestigious Hospital in NYC!

Job Function:

• Day Shift.


• 5x8.


• Responsible for receiving written prescription or refill requests, verifying that information is accurate under supervising pharmacist. Prepare bulk medications, fill bottles with prescribed medications, and type and attach labels.


• Maintain proper storage and security for all drugs.


• Deliver medications to patient care areas, refill automated dispensing cabinets, and conduct medication station reviews while adhering to department policies.


• Order medications and supplies as needed or requested.


• Assist patients by answering questions or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.


• Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB or NHA.


• Must have pharmacy dispensing experience.


• Sterile processing experience is required.


• 2 years previous Pharmacy Technician experience required.
