Consilio's ELS direct hire division is seeking a litigation legal assistant on behalf of a law firm in Washington, DC. The right candidate will have a general understanding of court filings and procedures. and be able to support multiple attorneys.

Job responsibilities:

• Drafting and Formatting Letters and Legal Documents
• Scheduling Depositions
• Managing Travel Arrangements
• Entering the attorneys time entries
• Calendar Management
• E-Filing Motions and other Pleadings
• Organizing Discovery Materials
• Trial preparation to include assembling exhibits and binders
• Processing Records
• Billing Edits
• Managing Expense Reports
• Other General Office Administration Functions

Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of document preparation requirements and filing procedures for Court submissions in local Circuit and District Courts – DC, MD, and VA.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Proactive work style, taking initiative to anticipate attorney needs.
• Familiarity with document management systems.

Desired Experience, Education & Licensure:

• 2-5 years of LITIGATION experience
• High School Diploma/ GED
