Controller
Location: Honolulu, HI | Full-Time | On-Site

We are working with a well-established company in Honolulus hospitality industry that is looking to hire a Controller to lead their accounting and financial operations. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong leadership skills and industry knowledge.

As a recruiting partner supporting this search, we're looking for someone who can bring both hands-on accounting expertise and strategic oversight to a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and financial forecasts
• Monitor cash flow, oversee bank relationships, and ensure financial compliance
• Communicate regularly with executive leadership and the board of directors, providing financial updates and strategic insight
• Work closely with senior leadership to support financial planning and business decisions
• Supervise and develop accounting team members
• Coordinate with external auditors and support the year-end audit process

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting (required)
• Minimum of 57 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Prior experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA license (a plus, but not required)
• Experience with multi-entity accounting or hospitality-specific systems
