Job Description

Schenectady Center is hiring a Business Office Assistant in Schenectady, NY.

DUTIES:

  • Provide daily support to the Business Office team with administrative and clerical tasks
  • Assist residents and families with completing financial paperwork and answering routine questions
  • Help collect and organize documentation for Medicaid and insurance applications
  • Enter census and billing information accurately into facility software
  • Track payments and assist with collection efforts under the direction of the Business Office Manager
  • Process resident fund requests and maintain records
  • Ensure admission agreements and related documents are complete and filed correctly
  • Perform additional office duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance processes is a plus
  • Comfortable communicating with residents, families, and staff in a professional manner
  • Computer proficiency required; Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting the team
