Business Development Representative (BDR)
Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales team. The BDR is responsible for generating new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting up meetings for the sales team. This role is critical in building the company’s sales pipeline and fueling revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research potential clients within target markets.
Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking.
Qualify inbound leads to determine fit and potential opportunity.
Engage with prospects to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.
Schedule discovery meetings/demos for Account Executives or Sales Managers.
Maintain accurate records of all prospecting and lead activities in CRM.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine outreach strategies.
Consistently meet and exceed KPIs for activity, qualified leads, and meetings booked.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
1–2 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
Confidence in handling cold calls and overcoming objections.
Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn.
